About the Centre

Completed in the first half of 2017, Casey Stadium is one of the most prominent, state of the art and versatile indoor sporting venues throughout Victoria, servicing the forever expanding community of Casey and the broader South East Melbourne region.

The Centre features 10 full size FIBA Basketball and INF Netball courts, including equipment and line marking for the provision of additional indoor sports such as Badminton, Volleyball, Futsal and a range of alternative sporting and recreation activities to cater for the entire community’s needs.

A feature of the facility is the main show court hall, with spectator seating up to 1,500 people. This main hall has the versatility to host major national and international sporting events, competitions and championships whilst also being able to be converted into a theatrette configuration to host assembly’s, plays, musicals, rock eisteddfod, dances and other dramatic art performances as well as lectures and exams for the many school and community user groups that regularly access the facility.

The Facility also houses a Piazza style hub serviced by a fully equipped Café that provides full service catering to all the events and activities within the facility. The Piazza is the epi centre of the facility where patrons and the general public can utilise it as a meet and greet location or a place to relax and socialise whilst either watching family or friends participate in the many activities that the centre offers. Alternatively patrons can use it as a place to gather to enjoy great healthy food and beverages and outstanding coffee.

Casey Stadium underwent an expansion in 2019 with the Centre now including a dedicated gymnastics hall and five indoor cricket nets, making the centre one of the largest in the state.

The facility also provides community spaces, formal meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms and a large function area for an unlimited number of activities for the wider community.

The extensive range of programs and flexible space within the centre will ensure that the growing population has access to a full suite of world class facilities to cater for the diverse needs of the entire community well into the future and provide active participation in a wide reaching mix of social and organised active recreation programs.

Stadium Technology

One of the key aspects of Casey Stadium is its use of innovative technology. This stadium was developed with the user in mind. There are dozens of IPTV screens in the complex, providing interactive information on the stadium and its services as well as Foxtel Sports.

Retractable Seating

To make best use of the space available, Casey Stadium has incorporated retractable seating into its show court design. This gets the visitors up and close to the games on the court and then allows for the seating to be retracted away to make space for a second court to be used.

Venue Hire

Courts can be hired on a casual as well as regular basis. There are 10 courts available for hire including the Show Court. Prices vary depending on which court and the basis on which it is being hired.

The stadium also has rooms available for hire including a function room, which looks out onto the show court and a meeting room.

The social room has two IPTV screens, one of which can be used by guests for presentations or live feeds.

The meeting room has one IPTV screen and a desk with chairs.

Both rooms can be catered for from the catering arm of the cafe, where food is prepared onsite at Casey Stadium.

Access and Inclusion

Casey Stadium has been designed to be fully accessible to everyone regardless of their physical ability. We want to ensure that dignified and equitable access to Casey Stadium and the facilities and services within the building, such as the toilets and mezzanine floor, are provided for people of all abilities.

Casey Stadium is fortunate to be one of few locations to be home to a Changing Places toilet and shower facility. This specially designed change room is equipped with an adult changing table, ceiling hoist and large floor space for easy access for both user and carer/s. Contact us for further information.
